Leonardo da Vinci, "Vitruvian Man" 1487
Pen, ink, watercolour and metalpoint on paper, 343 x 245 mm
(Gallerie dell'Accademia, Venice)

The Vitruvian Man which is famous artwork drawing by Leonardo daVinci in 1487.
It is perfect propotion of human figure created by him.
In this work,Leonardo using a man fitting his body to a circle and a square by adjusting
the position of his arms and legs.
Human figure can be symmetrically inscribed within a circle and square line.
And we can see that if human in static status, the hand and leg is a straight line / in a square.
If human is moving, the moving area is within a circle, that is impossible out of this circle area.
The hands are same length to the half body,
the length of the body looks like is equal to seven head's length.
Because he uses the technique of drawing circle and square,
the human figure become more balance and stable.
